Reporting that managers trust: governed data models on top of your ERP, dashboards designed around decisions rather than tables, and the data-quality work that makes the numbers hold up in a meeting.
The problem we solve
Most organisations have no shortage of reports. They have an ERP with standard reports nobody uses, a dozen Excel files that each tell a slightly different story, and a Power BI workspace full of dashboards built by enthusiastic individuals who have since left.
The underlying problems are usually the same: no agreed definitions of margin, stock value or on-time delivery; data pulled straight from tables without a model; and no one responsible for keeping reports working when the ERP or the business changes.
We design and build reporting on Power BI and, where it adds value, Microsoft Fabric: semantic models with agreed business definitions, dashboards that answer specific management and operational questions, and data pipelines that bring ERP, CRM and other sources together with appropriate refresh and security.
The work is grounded in the systems we support every day. Business Central, Finance and Supply Chain Management and SAP Business One data structures are familiar to our consultants, which shortens the path from requirement to a correct, performant model. Every deliverable is documented and handed over, and reports can be maintained under a support arrangement so they keep working.
Revenue, margin, working capital and cash positions consolidated from several Business Central companies into one governed model with agreed definitions and currency handling.
On-time-in-full, stock cover, backorders, carrier performance and warehouse throughput refreshed through the day for operations managers.
Customer, product and channel margin with price-list and discount effects made visible, so commercial decisions are based on actual contribution.
Production output, scrap, downtime reasons and planned-versus-actual costs from F&SCM or Business Central manufacturing, aligned with shop-floor realities.
An inventory of existing reports, consolidation into shared semantic models, workspace and row-level security governance, and retirement of duplicates.
ERP, CRM and external data landed in a lakehouse with dataflows and pipelines, feeding standard Power BI models and ad hoc SQL analysis.
Which decisions need which numbers, who uses them, how often, and what the definitions are. We leave with a KPI dictionary draft.
Sources, quality, volumes, refresh needs and security constraints are assessed; the architecture (Power BI alone or with Fabric) is proposed.
The semantic model is built first and validated against known figures; reports follow in short review cycles with your users.
Reconciliation to ERP totals, performance tuning, security testing, training and publication.
Reports and models maintained under support so they survive ERP updates and business change.
Yes. We use the supported APIs, data exports or entity stores rather than heavy direct queries against production, and we schedule refreshes appropriately. For high-volume or intraday needs we propose a Fabric or SQL staging layer.
Usually. We start with an inventory and a review of the models behind the reports. Where the model is sound we improve it; where several reports duplicate logic we consolidate into a shared semantic model.
Not necessarily. Many organisations are well served by Power BI with well-designed models. Fabric becomes useful when you combine many sources, need a lakehouse or warehouse, or want data engineering and analytics in one governed platform. We recommend it only where the need is real.
You do. Models, reports and documentation are delivered into your tenant and workspaces, with a named report owner on your side trained to maintain them. Ongoing maintenance is available under a support arrangement if you prefer.
Yes. SAP Business One on SQL or HANA is a common source for Power BI models, and our SAP consultants understand the table structures and business logic needed for correct sales, stock and financial reporting.
Describe the decisions you need better numbers for and the systems the data lives in. We will propose an approach, an architecture and a scoped first phase.
